Chef Simon Levy and his co-owner wife, Lisa, are determined to help you make memories in this upmarket, contemporary space that allows ample room for both intimate dining and engagement with the chefs in the open kitchen. Your experience will be guided by some of the best service we discovered in the garden city. A great place to begin is with something from a drinks list that has plenty to satisfy all. When it comes to the menu, whatever you choose Simon’s passion for local ingredients prepared creatively will be a topic of table conversation. Begin, as we did, with something from the ‘earth’ section (confit potatoes and caviar) then move above ground to pickled pork with fermented gherkin and truffled fried egg. The smoked veal with aubergine and miso was moist and utterly delicious – all testament to Simon’s strong culinary pedigree. Christchurch is fortunate to have him.
