Owner Fleur Caulton is one of this region’s most esteemed restaurateurs and has operated this destination restaurant, hidden away in a beautifully presented space in central Queenstown. The seasonally changing menu is focused on the best of local ingredients; Royalburn lamb, wild southern venison and Bluff blue cod, all carefully garnished with often foraged and fresh ingredients. Even the sourdough features a local brew and is offered with classic Kiwi Marmite butter. A tasting menu is available that is beautifully balanced. A thoughtfully curated wine list highlights exceptional selections from Otago and throughout Aotearoa alongside hidden gems from beyond the borders.

NOTE: The restaurant changed chefs during our assessment period, so could not be considered for a hat award in 2026. However, as it has been highly regarded in the past it has retained a place in our guide as a Destination. We look forward to reassessing in 2027.
