Since opening in 2005, Hopgood's & Co. has become one of Nelson's most loved dining destinations, serving modern bistro food in the beautifully restored heritage Dalgety & Company building. Now part of the Nelson Dining Group, the restaurant continues its long-standing commitment to seasonal cooking, local produce and genuine hospitality. The menu changes with the seasons, showcasing the best of the Nelson region and its exceptional produce, complemented by an excellent selection of local and regional wines. In 2025, Kevin sold the business while retaining the long-term management team, ensuring continuity for the restaurant and its guests. Dawa Lampe continues to lead the front of house, while James Lake heads up the kitchen, carrying forward the philosophy and approach to cooking that have defined Hopgood's & Co. since its beginnings. The dishes at Hopgood's & Co remain ingredient-led and seasonally driven, allowing quality produce to take centre stage.
