Charley Noble
Textarea
Set inside Wellington’s historic Huddart Parker Building near the waterfront, Charley Noble is all about wood-fired cooking, great ingredients and a front-row view of the action in its open kitchen. The atmosphere is lively but relaxed, with some of the best seats overlooking the flames as the kitchen works its magic. Indulge in classics like warm apple pie and slow-roasted beef scotch, thoughtfully curated by Greg Piner. The drinks list is a real highlight and a big part of what defines the experience. It’s no surprise Charley Noble was awarded The Reid Drinks List of the Year 2025. The wine selection is well structured and easy to navigate, whether you’re after something crisp and light or richer and more full bodied, while the beer and cider range offers a solid mix of local and international options. The spirits list is equally strong, covering everything from mezcal and amaro to cognac and pisco, and the cocktail menu brings a distinctly local feel, with drinks inspired by Aotearoa’s music scene. It all comes together in a way that feels thoughtful, combining flavour, atmosphere and a sense of fun.
