Foodies have been flocking to Bianca, an instantly popular spot in Ellerslie, where chef-owner Hayden Phiskie serves a concise menu of excellent handmade pasta alongside a small selection of well-chosen wines. The dine-in menu is available for lunch and on select evenings, while a fridge stocked with fresh take-home pasta kits lets you try your hand at recreating Hayden’s work at home. The easy-to-settle-into dining room features wooden tables and counter seats overlooking the kitchen, where you can watch the pasta being made from scratch. Beyond the pasta, there are plenty of Italian-style delights to enjoy, including the moreish house-made focaccia, best served with plenty of olive oil. Leave room for the tiramisu tart, a delicious way to finish. Plans are afoot to expand into the larger space next door.
