There’s no need for anyone to cross town to experience the Japanese-with-a-Peruvian twist menu at these lively destinations. The menus at both are almost identical and cater to many tastes. Expect fresh sashimi, excellent new-style sushi including sushi rolls, tostadas and other Japanese inspired fare. The Ponsonby venue is more intimate, while the Mission Bay restaurant takes advantage of a wonderful site in the old Mission House on the Selwyn Domain. Both have great kids’ menus.
