If you’re in Marlborough and looking for somewhere special to dine, Arbour should be your first choice. You can expect a carefully considered experience rather than a standard meal, shaped by a real sense of place and the people behind it. The menu may look simple at first glance, but each dish is quietly detailed, balanced and full of intent. It’s a sole-chef experience led by co-owner and chef Bradley Hornby, where guests can simply sit back and enjoy what’s coming from the kitchen, supported by warm, attentive service. Dishes might include a lemon, tarragon and chorizo fry-pie, pickled fennel with horseradish and rye terrine. To finish, an Earl Grey tea crème with mandarin sorbet, vanilla and Buddha’s hand jelly brings a fresh, aromatic close. Every ingredient is chosen with purpose and that focus carries through in every bite. The drinks’ list, curated by co-owner and sommelier Liz Buttimore, is thoughtfully put together to complement the food without overpowering it. More than anything, Arbour is about the people and the care they bring to every plate and glass.
