Originally from West Auckland, Matt Lambert’s skill and creativity gained him a coveted Michelin star at his restaurant The Musket Room in New York City, so it was a big deal when he returned to New Zealand in 2020. At the Lodge Bar in Auckland, Matt is serving well-conceived dishes that range from spectacular snacks through to an impressive offering of dry-aged steaks, accompanied by a drinks list that includes original cocktails and some seriously good wines. Exquisite oysters are usually on offer elevated by Matt's outstandingly different dressings and vinaigrettes.
