The people behind this award-winning regional restaurant are as special as the experience they deliver and Arbour is truly a must-do when in Marlborough. Don’t be fooled by a menu that reads as deceptively simple: hāpuku with flavours of yuzu and miso paired with sprouting broccoli; a fricassée of local seasonal vege with pancetta, hazelnut and tarragon; or a loin of wild venison where the supporting stars are pumpkin and figs. All champion a local community of growers and producers and will be stunningly presented and layered with depth of flavour. This is beautiful food where every ingredient has a place and a reason. Bradley’s skill and technique shines in every mouthful and Liz’s carefully created drinks menu can be paired to work in full harmony with every dish.
