Moiety

Description

IN BRIEF Awesome food, epic service and definitely not fine dining

Textarea
The artistry of French and Japanese culinary techniques comes alive in this thoughtfully designed restaurant co-owned by Kim Underwood and Sam Gasson, which offers an intimate dining experience and a food offering that is both approachable and innovative. Each dish showcases local producers and ingredients, ensuring that every bite and sip highlights the region’s best. An ever-changing menu allows ingredients to truly shine - think beetroot with flavours of brown butter, miso, crème fraîche, curry and chive or beef and mushrooms with ponzu, sunflower and shichimi. The atmosphere is elegant and understated, yet the flavours are bold and impactful. Guests can choose from a curated selection of snacks and small plates, but we highly recommend the chef’s selection of five courses - a ticket to culinary delight that will leave you sated but still craving more. Located in a refurbished heritage building within Dunedin’s trendy warehouse precinct, Moiety is all about exceptional food and epic service, without the fuss of fine dining. Expect inventive dishes, complemented by a carefully selected drinks list featuring unique boutique producers.
